Phosphate-buffered saline
Phosphate Buffered Saline solution (PBS) pH 7.0 is a buffered solution containing Sodium Chloride and Sodium Phosphates, it contains 0.01% w/v sodium azide as a preservative.
This reagent is CE marked and UKCA Marked and its production falls within Sussex Biologicals’ ISO EN 13485:2016 certification.
PBS is manufactured using reagent grade de-ionised water and has the following specifications:
pH 7.00 ± 0.05
Osmolality 290 mOsmol/Kg ± 5 mOsmol/Kg
Unopened shelf life is 2 years from Manufacture, once opened it is recommended the product is used within 4 months.
